Patricia was born and raised amidst the beauty and nature of Northern California. When she first discovered yoga in 2000, it was an extension of her spiritual connection to nature. She discovered Dharma yoga in 2012 while in Chicago and felt a deep connection with the practice that inspired her to complete Sri Dharma Mittra’s 200-hour yoga teacher training in New York City. Since, she’s been avidly teaching group classes in Chicago as well as private clients.
Patricia is passionate about living a healthy, holistic lifestyle and integrating her practice in all aspects of her life. Yoga has been a healing force for her physically, mentally, and spiritually bringing her a healthy awareness to her body and she believes in sharing its benefits with others. She seeks to create a patient and supportive environment in her classes that enables the experienced and inexperienced alike to improve their own yoga practice.
When she’s not practicing yoga, you can find Patricia hiking in the mountains, rock climbing, or cooking healthy vegetarian meals for her family.
Dharma Yoga is a classical and flowing style of hatha yoga taught by Sri Dharma Mittra, a master Yogi, who has been teaching for over 50 years in New York City. It is suitable for students of all levels. Students will practice Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) and Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa to warm up the body, bring flexibility to all muscles and joints, and wake up the nervous system. A powerful series of balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting and inverted postures will follow. This practice will end with relaxation and breathing exercises to help remove impurities and bring a sense of well-being to the body and radiant peace to the mind.
Dharma Gentle is appropriate for all ages. It is ideal for beginners and highly beneficial for those returning from injuries and looking for a gentle class. Students are assisted and variations are provided according to their needs. This class adds the healing and toning qualities of yoga into your life. We start with guided warm up stretches, and move into simple sitting and standing poses to loosen the joints, promote good posture and balance. Breathing exercises and relaxation bring calmness between poses and at the conclusion.

I have loved taking classes with Patricia! She takes the time to make sure that I understand the importance and benefit of yoga as it relates to my everyday life. With her welcoming and warm instruction, I am gradually learning how to be grateful for the many gifts and wonders that life has given to me and my body.
I'm a total Yoga Newbie and loving this new journey! Patricia has been very patient with all my questions, informative and so caring! She works with you so that you're comfortable at your own pace and her sessions also change up which I love because there is always a challenge. Her positivity is very genuinely encouraging. She's just a powerful peaceful gem!!!
Patricia has been a great help in my injury recovery! Her one on one yoga sessions have improved my flexibility, core strength, balance and confidence. She's been able to gradually move me into more advanced and deeper poses and stretches without risk of re-injury. Thats allowed me to trust my bodies capabilities again! Its been very helpful to have her work me through the custom session versus being in a big class. Her own practice is super strong and her calming presence has helped me find my center in and out of the session. Best part...she's a joy to practice yoga with!
I have been into fitness and personal training for 20 years and decided to try Yoga for the first time a few months ago. Patricia Gomez has provided a great introduction into the discipline and its many benefits. As a beginner my learning curve has been steep, but Patricia has been patient and diligent in teaching me. She is thorough, very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys teaching Yoga. Her enthusiasm is infectious. My lessons with her have encouraged me and I intend to continue working with her become even stronger and more flexible. I highly recommend Patricia to anyone interested in practicing yoga, at any level and age.
Patricia makes her yoga classes enjoyable and comfortable. Her knowledge and passion shows every time. She is always very open for feedback and questions throughout the class. I have never taken yoga before this. Now, I am seeking to learn more and practice yoga for the long-term.
